A Word from Camp Commander
Le baptéme du fer - The baptism of fire
12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.
:: 1 Cor 3:12-13 ::
Despite what the countless number of denominations says about Christianity, I believe that there are only two kinds of Christians:
There are those who last until the end and those who do not.
The world needs to be changed. Not by us of course, but by our awesome, powerful and glorious God. However, it would not be changed by a bunch of irrelevant, weak willed Hallelujahs who are so easily entangled and influenced by the world. The world is not going to be soft on us if we are hard on following our Lord. It would not take us lightly if we are to take the Word of God seriously. It would not shut their eyes if we are going to open their hearts to the love of our savior.
If Christianity is serious business, it would also mean that we must be prepared to take the heat. As such, we must be like Daniel and his friends, refusing to defile themselves with the ways of the world, ready to be thrown into the furnace. And surely, it is also in this blazing furnace where we meet the son of God face to face, unscathed. Only then, can we walk out and declare to the world “this is the God that is able to rescue us.”
Are you ready to burn?
Your crazy camp commander,
